Booking and Cancellation

To book a trip simply email me and let me know what you are interested in. We can arrange things from there. Read on to learn about deposits, paying for trips and my cancellation policy.

Deposits
To confirm a trip booking I need a deposit, usually the equivalent of C$350 for every day booked plus whatever other expenses that will be incurred before the trip (e.g. wages for additional guides booked, hut bookings etc). The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the trip.

Payment
Payment may be made in any of the following ways:

Cheque or money order
Make the cheque out to Corax Alpine and mail it to me at:

Internet payment from your bank account or credit card - 3% service charge applies
Send the deposit through www.paypal.com to me at this address (paypal at alpinism dot com) If you are unfamiliar with Paypal just go to the Paypal website, click on the Send Money link and follow the directions. Contact me if you have any questions.

Cancellations

If you cancel more than 4 weeks in advance of the start date of your trip you get your money back, less a C$150 handling fee.

If you cancel within 4 weeks of the start date of your trip you forfeit the deposit unless I am able to find other work on those dates, in which case I return your deposit less a C$150 handling fee.

If I cancel at any time due to circumstances other than bad weather or conditions you get your full deposit back.

Occassionally bad weather or conditions causes us to change our objectives. No refunds will be made in the event we do not achieve the original objective.

Very occassionally (only once every few years) bad weather or conditions makes any climbing or skiing option undesirable. In this event postponement of the trip is our first alternative if possible. If we need to cancel or cut short the trip due to these circumstances refunds are made on a case by case basis.
